Kristen has vast experience bringing together and motivating individuals and organizations to effect positive change in education. With more than 20 years in leadership in local education, Kristen’s role in Tyler Proud is an extension of what she’s always done in the Tyler community. From there, she co-managed a facilities bond campaign, then served five years as an officer on the TISD school board during a time when a bond was successfully passed. Kristen founded and directed the Tyler Area P-16 Council, a 501c3, to connect education leaders from pre-K thru post secondary education to take actions to effect positive change in education outcomes in the Tyler area. The focus was on improving the opportunities for students to graduate ready for careers and to be life-long productive citizens.Kristen’s consistent passion is to improve education for every child on every campus in Tyler ISD.
